Role: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Addison, TX

This is an onsite position supporting our Engineering team and will be responsible for the mechanical design and development of prototype and production units covering an entire cycle from concept/detailed design to manufacturing products and systems.

Job Responsibilities

·  Responsible for the mechanical design & development of aerospace prototypes and production units.

·  Maintain and support existing product designs and address changes due to end of life components, material obsolescence, and product change requests.

·  Able to review engineering models and drawings and make modifications to existing products.

·  Detailed mechanical design work including 3D modeling, documentation, HALT testing, support tooling/ fixtures.

·  Responsible for creating 2D drawings for all associated components, assemblies, etc.

·  Follow department processes and standards and ensure the design functionally meets customer requirements.

·  Hands on testing of products and design validation documentation.

Required Qualifications

·  Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) 

·  Zero (0) - three (3) years of mechanical design experience utilizing sheet metal, machined part, injection molded plastics, metal extrusions, & die casting in an aerospace or military environment.

·  3D CAD: – candidate must be familiar with 3D modeling software.  

·  Ability to understand/produce technical drawings and documents for internal and customer use.

·  Ability to coordinate with the other discipline Engineers (EE & SE) within the department to produce multidisciplinary design solutions.

·  Able to report mechanical design status on the assigned tasks whenever asked.

·  Solid communication skills in dealing with other engineers, suppliers, etc.

Desired Qualifications

·  Familiarity with FAA/ Aerospace design requirements is a plus.
Compensation: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
