Job Title: Controls Engineer 

Location: Alpharetta, GA

Job Description:

·         Typical task breakdown:
·         Develop production drawings.
·         Put together a Bill of Materials (BOM).
·         Issue production drawings and maintain records of all changes through production.
·         Inspect Power Envelops (Switchgear bare bone structure) from supplier.
·         Develop a PLC program from templates (sometimes it requires major changes).
·         Develop Shop Test document.
·         Perform Engineering test (test Sequence of Operation) to make sure the project matches the specs.
·         Perform Customer Witness Test.
·         Clean up project after CWT and prepare for shipping.
·         Develop Field Start up test document.
·         Develop Operation Manuals for customer use.
·         Support Field Engineering team during the start up stage.

·         Help teammates if asked and get help if needed.
·         Do not hesitate to ask for help or training.
·         Maintain professional relationships with team members and all office/shop workers.

Education & Experience Required:

·         Bachelor’s degree of EE/EET or ME/MET.
·         8-10 years in Automated Controls industry and Power Systems
·         Willing to take 2-year degree with 10+ years’ experience
·         Willing to take Master’s with 6+ years of experience
·         No internships will be counted

Top 3 Skills

·         PLC programming (Schneider, Rockell A-B).
·         Electrical Power Protection (Schweitzer, GE, ABB, Basler).
·         Emergency Electrical Power System controls (Generators, Turbines, UPS, ATS).

Additional Technical Skills

(Required)

·         Ability to read and develop electrical schematics drawings (AutoCAD)
·         Technical communication, ability to write up technical documentation.

·         Schweitzer SEL RTAC
·         Codesys structured text programming language
·         C/C++ structure text programming language

Compensation: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
