Job Title: Senior Automation Designer - Mechanical
Location: Location  - Cambridge, Ontario, Canada 
Experience – 8 to 10 years

 
Job Description:
  • 7+ years of experience as an Automation Engineer
  • 4+ Medical industry/domain is mandatory or Electrical Electronics Component Manufacturing also may be acceptable (should be the latest experience) 
  • 8+ years of working experience of common machine shop techniques.
  • 6+ years experience in Solid Works mandatory
  • Must have experience with Line-Automation (design & install special purpose machine (SPM)
  • Mandatory experience with manufacturing automation domain (3+ years at least)
  • Must have a thorough knowledge and hands-on experience of drafting principles.
  • 2+ years experience in AutoCAD
  • A thorough knowledge of the use of pneumatics and hydraulics. A thorough knowledge of the use of electrical devices (i.e. switches, load cells, LVDT’s, etc.).
  • Must be capable of designing tooling from sketches or verbal concepts.
  • Review electrical requirements with respect to input and output devises with electrical designers.
  • Assist the fabricators, machinists, toolmaker and electricians in the debug, integration resolving problems and completion of systems.
  • Strictly follow CSA N285 / NQA Quality requirements
  • Organize documentation, including quotes, drawing registers, correspondence, requisitions, drawings, schedules, etc. on projects you are supervising.
  • Perform engineering calculations with respect to strength of materials, speeds, horsepower, temperature, pressure, force, etc. as related to machine and tool designs
  • Provide design support related to construction of CSA B51 and CSA N285.0
 
Compensation: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
