Special Pocess Specialist - Adhesive Bonding
Basic knowledge of welding is an asset
DEC or BAC in Mechanical engineering
Demonstrates autonomy and rigorGood knowledge and practical experience in the application of geometric tolerancing (GD&T)
Good knowledge and practical experience with AWS welding symbols
Has experience in manufacturing support on an assembly line
Has experience working as part of a multifunctional team
Knowledge of fundamental theories, principles, and concepts related to manufacturing and mechanical assembly
Knowledge of the Office suite
Mastery of the manufacturing process for the assembly of Citadis bogies for the Hurontario and Ottawa projects
Must be on-site in La Pocatière 100% of the time
Proficiency in CATIA V5 software
Proficiency in French with a good knowledge of English
Proficiency in SAP GSI
Proficiency in SAP GSI software
Thorough knowledge of the manufacturing process for the mechanical assembly of bogies for the Vancouver Project 27662
Thorough knowledge of the manufacturing process for the mechanical assembly of major sub-assemblies for the Vancouver Project 27662
Thorough knowledge of the manufacturing process for the welding assembly of major sub-assemblies for the New Jersey Transit 26329 project
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in the design of the product in partnership with the different functions to propose solutions to improve the manufacturing of the product
Actively participate in the realization of the first units by supporting the main manufacturing functions
Determine the functional requirements and draft the technical documentation for the assembly of train cars
Conducts various research, studies and analysis to develop manufacturing methods, products and new markets in partnership with internal and external expertise
Develops action plans to improve the productivity of existing equipment and/or integrate new technologies into our manufacturing processes
Defines and estimates the costs of the most economical production methods according to the requirements of the product
REQUIRED PROFILE:
Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering
Knowledge of fundamental theories, principles and concepts related to mechanical manufacturing and assembly
Basic welding knowledge an asset
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required; CATIA software an asset
Fluency in French and good working knowledge of English
Detail-oriented
Autonomy and rigor
Excellent communications skills and team player
Available to travel
