Job Title: Structures Engineer

Job Description & Skill Requirement :
This is considered an onsite position, meaning the work be done full time at our customer facility in Fort Worth, TX.
Primary Responsibilities
• Perform engineering structural analysis activities, including:
• Stress analyses
• Strength analyses
• Deflection analyses
• Fatigue analyses (LCF and HCF)
• Vibratory analyses (modal)
• Hand calculations
• Use Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software (ANSYS Workbench) to evaluate parts under various load conditions
• Use CAD modeling (SolidWorks and CATIA) and drafting understanding to read and interpret part B/P for use in analyses
• Write final structural analysis summary technical reports, summarizing the engineering analyses conducted, the final conclusions, and obtain customer approval.
• Follow all customer required document control procedures to ensure proper data storage throughout the project
• Work with internal stakeholders and customer engineering departments/disciplines to ensure the analyses are acceptable, and that all possible impacts are considered. Collaborate to obtain dispositions and approvals from other departments, as required.
• Create and deliver presentations at various required gate reviews, summarizing the analysis plan, the results, and final engineering recommendations.
• Generate templates, document lessons-learned, develop tools, and support the creation of training presentations to enable repeatable, standardized results amongst the team
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to current engineering processes, tools, trainings, etc.
• Update status reports, present project status to customers, and work with LTTS project management to ensure productive and consistent customer communication.
• Understand and adhere to all export control regulations.
• Work closely with customers onsite at their facility several days per week, complying with all customer site requirements

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• 8+ year(s) of relevant structural analysis experience
• Experience working with FEA and CAD software
• Outstanding communication and technical writing skills
• Outstanding customer interfacing skills
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with ANSYS Workbench software
• Experience with SolidWorks and/or CATIA software
• Experience working in the aerospace industry
• Experience with the engineering design process
• An understanding of engineering services business practices
• Exposure to project or program management
• Experience writing or creating standard work, establishing processes, and documenting lessons learned
Compensation: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
