Job Description:
Controls engineer / manager will be responsible for supporting the global planning, execution and programs coordination of the Controls and SW platform solution for Transmissions.

Key Responsibilities:
·         Providing Feasibility and cost assessment for Controls & SW to the vehicle/programs.
·         Representing the Controls System (Controllers and SW) vs the Propulsion System Community as primary interface.
·         Coordinating Controls Features development.
·         Defining Feature Roll-out Plan (What and when) that aligns to overall program milestones and objectives.
·         Playing a key role in the Controls & SW change Management, Quality assessment and Risk mitigation.
·         Lead and mentor a team of controls engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
·         Ensure rigorous validation of control functions to meet and exceed specified requirements throughout the vehicle development cycle.
·         Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other engineering units to drive the development of cutting-edge controls technology.
·         Drive continuous improvement initiatives in controlling engineering processes, methodologies, and technologies.
 
Qualifications & Skills Required:
·         As needed to work on Complex Systems, it is essential the successful candidate can show a proven record of working on his/her own initiative and within a team delivering high quality and robust technical solutions
·         Bachelor/Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
·         Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience (2 years in automotive)
·         Ability to work in an agile environment.
·         Previous experience as Controls/SW developer using Matlab Simulink/Stateflow, Embedded C, testing or calibration engineer will be considered a plus
·         Be proactive, take ownership and be accountable.
·         Familiarity with software development tools and debugging techniques.
·         Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment and communicate clearly.
·         Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
 
Compensation: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
