Job Title: Hydraulic Sealing Specialist
Location: Aurora, Illinois

 

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Design responsibility for hydraulic sealing products across the enterprise; accountable for meeting customer expectations for product cost, quality, and delivery (for example)
  • Contribute to multiple New Product Introduction (NPI) development projects, New Technology Integration (NTI) projects, and product cost/quality improvement projects
  • Conduct Concept and Detailed Design Reviews with the Global Engineering teams
  • Collaborate with the Global/Regional purchasing and manufacturing facility teams to support the product velocity, quality & cost targets, conduct supplier process audits, evaluate sourcing, and complete PPAP/APQP process validation tasks
  • Troubleshoot field failures, Warranty claims, factory issues.  Complete parts analysis and technical reports as needed.
  • Responsible for supporting a design control with detailed drawing releases, maintenance, conduct continuous product and process development and coordination with PSLD on seal kit solutions.
  • Align hydraulic sealing initiatives across product groups, suppliers, and manufacturing process partners
 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Education - Bachelor's degree or higher in accredited Engineering field (preferably Polymer/Chemical)
  • Experience – 2+ years of polymer industry experience
 

Top candidates  will have:

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in an accredited Engineering curriculum
  • Strong analytical skills & experience in components to meet performance, cost and quality requirements.
  • Experience in Project management, Tolerance Stack-up, and GD&T
  • The ability to effectively develop and manage project plans from concept to production
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members and process partners
  • Application knowledge of mining and construction equipment
  • Familiarity with polymer suppliers and manufacturing processes
  • The ability to work/lead multiple projects simultaneously and to make sound priority decisions
  • A sense of urgency balanced with a strong commitment to quality
  • Due to collaboration with global product development teams, available for flexible work hours
 
Compensation: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
